Akhirnya keputusan bagi Pilihanraya kecil Parlimen Hulu Selangor telah diumumkan. Pilihanraya kecil Parlimen Hulu Selangor yang diadakan ini adalah berikutan kerana kematian Ahli Parlimen Hulu Selangor, Datuk Dr Zainal Abidin Ahmad, daripada PKR pada 25 Mac lalu akibat barah otak. Setelah semua 137 saluran dikira undi oleh Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya (SPR), akhirnya keputusan undian pun diumumkan, Barisan Nasional (BN) menang Parlimen Hulu Selangor – calon BN, P Kamalanathan (24,997 undi); Zaid Ibrahim (PKR) 23,272 undi, majoriti 1,725 undi kepada BN.
